WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Yarndale and The Yorkshire Flea may also cease to run at Skipton Auction Mart.
The business is unable to make any income until March 2021. We are not eligible for the business (10K) grant, nor the leisure (25K) grant. We have gratefully received a £4,000 grant from Craven District Council, which contributes to 13% of our total requirement.
We have exhausted all potential grant schemes and are hoping that a JustGiving campaign can help save our events. Any donation, regardless of size is hugely appreciated.
WHO YOUR DONATION SUPPORTS
Every donation to the JustGiving campaign helps to save our events, which have created over 4,000 exhibitor opportunities to small local businesses. The events have also welcomed over 100,000 visitors into Skipton and the surrounding area. Your donation will help us to keep our doors open to visitors for years to come.
OUR JUSTGIVING TARGET
We are hoping to raise £26,000. This will pay ongoing business costs until our events can start making income again (March 2021). Some of our costs include insurance, staff wages (minus furlough), supplier fees, including: WorldPay, Mailchimp, websites, email domains etc.
EXCESS FUNDING PLAN
The arts industry as a whole is struggling during this period of uncertainty. If we are fortunate enough to exceed our funding goal, any excess would be distributed equally amongst the artists/hirers to support their work. This would include:
- Making 2021 AITP and CITP exhibitor fees cheaper
- Reduce hire fees for performers and event planners to help aid recovery
